“An Affair Of The Art” – Benefit Art Auction FLYER
E.J. and Patty Kuiper and Lisa Nelson and Michael Moehn are pleased to announce the 7th Annual An Affair of the Art, “Love with all your Art”. An auction devoted to the works of local, regional and national artists, and benefiting the Catholic Children's Home in Alton, Illinois. Proceeds of the event will be used to support critically needed youth programs in art therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. The benefit will be held on Saturday March 6th, 2010 in The Common at Lewis and Clark Community College. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm and will include a Candlelight buffet, complimentary champagne and a cash bar.  Casual evening attire is suggested.

Artist of all mediums from the local River Bend area, the Midwest and from all around the world are being asked to donate a piece of art to display and auction for the event. Artist will receive recognition for their art, with contact information being published in the auction programs. Sponsorship options are available for this benefit as well.

The Catholic Children's Home is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to aid, protect and care for the needs, education and welfare of dependent, neglected and abused, or otherwise hurting children and families without regard to poverty, riches, race, religion or national origin.  Those individuals wishing to donate art, inquire on sponsorship or purchase tickets are asked to contact Michael Shelton-Montez at 618-465-3594. 

The painting “Yellow Leaves Over Rocky Creek” by Jeff Vaughn is located at Cornerstone Bank, 200 East Homer Adams Parkway in Alton. The Bank will be displaying the painting and also holding raffle ticket sales.
